Tearapproved Remodeling is only the link between you and them. We do not do the remodel.

What Happens on the Call

The first conversation is simple and low pressure. You can expect questions like these:

• Which room are you thinking about?
• How old is the house?
• What do you want to change, and what bothers you now?
• Have you noticed leaks, soft floors, or musty smells?

Those last questions matter in older homes. Small signs matter, and they help a provider plan the visit. If the provider is a fit, the next step is usually a home remodel consultation at your house.

It also helps to gather a few things before you talk. Photos of the room, a rough sense of your budget, and a short list of must-have changes can make the first conversation smoother for everyone.

What to Ask a Provider

A good provider is happy to answer questions. Here are a few to bring:

• Will you look at the walls, floor, and plumbing before quoting?
• How do you handle surprises in an older home?
• Can I have the quote in writing, with the work broken out?
• Who does the work, and who is on site each day?
• What licenses and insurance do you carry, and can I see them?
• How do you handle changes once work starts?

Costs depend on the size of the job, your materials, and what is found behind the walls. Compare written quotes before you decide.
